Subsurface Drip

When gravity dispersal is off the table — tight lots, poor soils, high water, nitrogen-sensitive permits — drip puts treated effluent into the root zone in controlled, metered doses. We build the headworks and the panels in house.

Why drip

Dispersal for the sites nothing else fits

A drainfield needs area, fall and soil. Drip needs much less of all three, because it doesn’t rely on gravity or soil storage — it meters effluent out through emitter tubing in doses the ground can actually take.

  • Shallow installation, in the biologically active root zone
  • Time-dosed — the field rests between doses instead of flooding
  • Follows contours; works on lots a conventional field never could
  • Runs behind either plant — AN Series where the permit stacks nitrogen requirements, AP Series where it doesn’t
  • Or fully standalone — headworks and field for an existing treatment plant, or a conventional septic that’s run out of drainfield options

The headworks is the heart of the system

Everything that decides whether a drip field lives or dies happens in one assembly: filtration, metering, pressure control and zone switching. We build ours in house — plumbed and wired as a unit, run by a UL 508A listed panel from Legacy Controls — so what goes in the basin is tested, not assembled over a hole.

  • Disc filtration ahead of the field — emitters stay open
  • Flow meter and pressure gauge, so service visits read numbers, not guesses
  • Solenoid zone valves with sealed connectors on our own harnesses
  • Field flush and filter backwash plumbed in from day one
  • Assembled, pressure-checked and function-tested before dispatch

Controls

Single zone or multi-zone, the panel runs it

Drip is a scheduling problem — dose, rest, rotate, flush. The panel does the arithmetic. Ours are built by Legacy Controls to UL 508A, configured for the zone count and dosing regime of the actual field.

  • Timed dosing with rest periods per zone
  • Automatic zone rotation on multi-zone fields
  • Scheduled field flush and filter backwash cycles
  • High-water alarm, pump protection and run indication
